These are Martha Stewart goodie boxes.
Very plain and boring, designed for home made meringues I think (!). I thought they would make beautiful boxes for little christmas pressies. This is my trial attempt.
I took my owl stamp from Octobers Gogo kit and stamped all over the box in a green chalk ink. This looked quite mutued on the cardboard box. I next used a brown and stamped some more owls. This is a stronger colour and makes the green look like shadows.
I created a tag on the front of the box using patterned paper as a mat layer and blue card for my greeting which I attached using foam pads again for volume. I added an owl rub on and saying from the kit. I used some ribbon to create a bow at the front.
To create a more exciting closure, I used some scallop oval punches in two sizes. again I used the patterned paper as the mat and the card as the upper layer on foam. I have left this blank at the moment as I intend to put a name on it as soon as I figure out whose present will go in what!!
I think this would look great in coloured card using Versmark and Stazon whites for the stamping. I shall create my own template later this week.
