I had seen this idea done by Lisa Bearnson on QVC many many months ago.
I had some spare plastic bags, the sort you pop your cards in to sell and thought I would give it a go and see if I could make some. I think Lisa advocated Nylon bags but they cost a small fortune!
First I added some fetti strips inside to pad the plastic bag and give it some shape. Your gift wrapped present would go inside here along with the fetti. I then sealed the bag and stapled the top down.
I measured my bag and cut a strip of card an inch longer than the width. I then folded this card in half.
I added a stip of patterned paper to the front and hid the seem with a length of ribbon I glued down.
I left a piece of ribbon glue free in the middle of the card. In this area I tucked through a smaller piece of ribbon. On to this I threaded a disc I made.
I used a Scenic route Chipboard piece. To the front I added a piece of October Afternoon paper that I cut using a circular scallop punch. I also used a rub on owl and sentiment.
I then attached the card to the bag using some Herma glue. All ready to go under the tree and look a little different.
