Love it or hate it, Halloween is just around the corner. I LOVE it big stylee.
I was super excited in the USA as everywhere we went they had lots of Halloween stuff for me to rummage through. I even managed to get a super duper pumpkin carving tool kit so I will create a couple of scary pumpkins this year.
Michaels was awash with new gear, well new to me in any case and today I have had a play with some new stash. I love this cob web punch from Martha Stewart. Its very cute.
Here is a little card I made with the punch and a 3D spider I had last year. I folded up the card using a Score-pal to create a panel on the front, behind which I threaded ribbon.
I also couldnt resist the bat punch. I have made them fly with the help of some foam pads. I think these little cut out shapes will work really well on a spooky mobile. Hmm......
I made this matchbook style card using the Score-pal again. (Its fab and comes from here. I think there are UK versions and retailers now though.) This google eyed spider is from the US - he was just too cute to leave there. This card opens up with a pretty/spooky inside too.
The downside is it's a little too chubby for a conventional envelope but nothing beats a pretty home made envelope to go with your card.
My final Happy Halloween card is made using a folder from Papersource.
(Oh how I loved this shop. I went in twice. They give discounts too on par with Micheals if you go in in person. Check them out on line here.I am not sure how economical it is to get the goodies shipped from the US to the UK, think I may have to find out next season!)
I also used my new McGill happy label punch. Fantastic name and it makes me happy too.
(Spooky mood lighting? Nah, just poor light in the afternoon as the year gets later)
